Organiser’s Comments
In spite of a slightly shaky start, not helped by me leaving my mobile phone at home, the professionalism of HH volunteers soon got our event under way and working well. Everyone I spoke to enjoyed Elizabeth’s courses and hopefully this sentiment was shared by everyone else who came to run in this lovely woodland.
Apologies for the lack of car parking. Templewood School have been carrying out a lot of building work recently, using the track to the large rear playground we usually use for our car park. Unfortunately, damage to the track surface came to a head in the week prior to our event, resulting in a strong complaint from one of the school’s neighbours. In order to avoid making matters worse, possibly affecting future use of this area, we had no option but to not use the track. I hope you found parking nearby and weren’t too badly inconvenienced.
Many thanks to Templewood School for allowing us to use their premises as our Event Centre; Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council for permission to use their land; Sherrardspark Wood Wardens for their work maintaining the woods; and of course, all the HH volunteers who made this event happen.
