Organiser’s Comments
Many Thanks for running today. From what I heard everyone enjoyed it running through some lovely, open woods. Bearings were probably order of the day, enhanced by that enabling you to keep off the muddy paths.
Well done to Hannah for excellent courses and equally to Alex for his excellent lockdown-enabled map.
We had just a few more people than expected!, circa 200 vs a normal Saturday event of 120. It would be useful to know why, but probably a new area, running in an interesting wood on a Saturday and no other competing activities on a Saturday morning in January .
Many Thanks to everyone who helped cheerfully and proactively making the event run smoothly and with all your ideas better than planned.
With the large entries and some late changes, we did run out of Yellow maps, so apologies to those who let us recycle their maps to allow others to run. Here is a link to a pdf of the Yellow course of the Yellow that you can download and print.
Finally, Many Thanks to both the landowners The Royal Forestry Society for letting use their woods and to Berkhamsted Pre-Prep School for generously allowing us to use their school to enable 200 people get out and exercise happily on a Saturday morning . Both were ideal. We would like to come back and run similar events in the future.
