Virtual Lagganlia

juniors, news

Before you read the following article from Maggie, I think there are a number of words of explanation required.

The Lagganlia training camp that Maggie was invited to is planned and organised by JROS (Junior Regional Orienteering Squads www.jros.org.uk which is the umbrella organisation representing the 12 British Regional Orienteering Squads.

The 24 athlete attendees on the Lagganlia camp are selected, based on their results in events over the previous year.

Lagganlia is the name of the Outdoor Education centre on Speyside which has hosted this camp for M/W14’s since 1991.

JWOC refers to the Junior World Orienteering Championship. Fiona Bunn won the Relay World Champs in 2019 and is currently studying at Cambridge University.
