SN Frith Hill

news

Conditions at SN’s event near Deepcut on Sunday were just about perfect. Cool enough to run but warm when chatting in the sun, well-draining soil so neither soggy nor hard, and lovely runnable terrain especially on Frith Hill, with more complex contours on the Windmill Hill side. A decent number of club members were there to enjoy it. Club league results after this event are here.

The leader at SN was Sam Fielding who led on Blue for a long time, finishing well ahead of the next juniors Beth Hanson and Natalia Pereverzina. The seniors were much closer, with Mike Bennett just pipping Alison Saunders and Máire Convery.

Overall, it’s still the ever-presents who lead. Helen Errington has a reasonable lead over Ian Byford and Andrew Cummings. Of the juniors, Peter Errington stays ahead of Sam Fielding and Beth Hanson.

The next league event is also the club championships, this Sunday (17th) at HAVOC’s Epping SW event. Entries are on the day but please don’t forget to enter the right course if you want to be competitive:

Blue Open, Ladies Open
Green Veterans (M55+, W45+)
Light Green Intermediate Boy, Intermediate Girl (M/W18-)
Orange Junior (M/W14-)

Entries are already open on Fabian4 for the following event at Hindleap on 8 Dec, and even for our Ace of Herts event at Ashridge on 19 January.

We’ve added another date to the club league, the SLOW OK Nuts Trophy on 29th December, now that has been confirmed.
