A big ‘well done’ to all the competitors who made it round Daniel’s very well-planned courses. The weather certainly had a big impact. The heavy rain over the last week caused the river through the underpass to flood and become unusable, so the longer courses were forced to adopt a line across the very busy Stanborough Road. Happily that went off without any trouble, facilitated by some unscheduled helpers to man the crossing and timing-out the route between the controls so that no one was in a rush and taking risks.
A big ‘thank-you’ to all the HH helpers who turned out despite the miserable conditions and performed with their usual combination of cheerfulness and competence. And finally, a thank you to the Stanborough Park staff who were very supportive of the event and really helpful throughout.
Our next Saturday Series event is at Fairlands Valley Park, Stevenage on December 2nd.
