Sherrardspark Wood, 27th February 2016
Organisers Comments
This was the 3rd event that I have organised at Sherrardspark Wood, but the first in the Saturday series. I thinking making it level C was a definite bonus with an excellent attendance of 150 people.
Templewood School makes for the best event centre, easily superior to the Riding School or Campus west with great access to the forest and I think all 3 events have been blessed with good weather.
Apologies for the car parking mix up from the start of the event, we thought the signs to the back car park were clear and the front car park was locked! Hopefully the most inconvenience anyway suffered was a 5 minute walk.
David had provided excellent courses. It is a deliberate intention of the Youth league that the areas get progressively harder as the league progresses from parks to wood and some junior times probably reflect the greater challenge.
HH has always made organiser’s job easy with plenty of enthusiastic, competent helpers. This event was no exception and I had very little to do during the event. Thanks especially to Dave Tookey for leading the SI, David Frampton for planning and Paul Todd of LOK for controlling.
