Well…the weather gods didn’t exactly play ball today but we orienteers are a hardy lot so a bit of gale-force wind and lashing rain wasn’t going to put us off – or at least not all of us! A lower-than-average 69 competitors was testament to the fact that the appalling weather did indeed dissuade some people from joining in the fun but the presence of a certain sporting event over in Japan may have also accounted for the drop in numbers.

Thanks to Richard Watkins for his challenging courses – and to all those who helped us deliver another smooth and efficient event – especially those who provided additional ballast to prevent the tent from making an unscheduled appearance on the flight path to Stansted Airport!!
