If you ever fancy having a go at organising then Chipperfield has got to be a great choice. Not many events can boast a cafe as event headquarters, out of the rain, with power points galore for the SI team, tables for registration and proper coffee available – thank you Blackwell’s cafe!
The Happy Herts team were on fine form, with Kevin Parkes delivering a series of courses to take full advantage of the terrain. No contours to speak of, but plenty of confusing tracks essential for navigation as the undergrowth, tree fall and thickening holly bushes made the straight route choice cross country nigh on impossible. 130 people ran with plenty of families enjoying our event, with one coming all the way from near Ely in Cambridgeshire.
Thanks to the HH volunteers – plenty of you and all willing to share your extensive experience, or if new learn some of the tasks that make up a successful event. Particular thanks to Laura Parkes for joining us for the day from Oxford to take control of the SI.
