HH Success at the JK in the Lake District

news

With steep, rock-strewn forests and moorland, the Lakes were not a likely hunting ground for HH victories.  Despite this, we ended up with both individual successes at the sprint, and team medals in the relays and a total of eleven medals last weekend at the UK’s premier national orienteering event. Well done to the HH Shikas (Janet Rosen / Helen Errington / Alison Harding), 3rd in the Women’s 165+ race, and to the HH Muntjacs (Hannah Freeman / Ben Gostick / Alex Fielding), 3rd in the mini-relay. Well done also to sprint medalists Kevin Fielding (Gold in M45), Sian Mitchell (Silver in W35), Alison Harding (Bronze in W55), Janet Rosen (Bronze in W60) and Alex Fielding (Bronze in M12). Special mention also for Ian Marsden (1st on M35S), Liz Drew (2nd on W65S), James Errington (2nd on M18S), Alison Saunders (3rd on W55S) and Ben Gostick (fastest run in on the relay!).  Next comes the British Champs!
