British Orienteering Championships – Hertfordshire Orienteering Club

The British Long Distance Orienteering Championships took place on 30^th April at Brown Clee Hill in Shropshire. Notable Club performances came from Kevin Harding, 2^nd on M55L, Helen Marsden, 2^nd on W40L, James Errington, 1^st on M20L, Alison Saunders, 2^nd on W55S, Jane Breed, 2^nd on W60S with Sue Hooper 3^rd on the same course and Susan Marsden 2^nd on W70S.

The British Relay Championships took place on 1st May on the same area. The Club’s best performances came in M14 (Alex Fielding/Ben Gostick/Dominic Bowers) and W14 (Kate Frampton/Tegan Frampton/Hannah Freeman) with both teams finishing 4th. We were also 5th in Women’s Short (Helen Marsden/Gillian Hanson/Sian Mitchell) and 6th in Men’s Short (Kevin Fielding/James Errington/Ian Marsden).
