The sunshine made a welcome appearance at Ashridge near Berkhamsted as 14 athletes came to hone their skills. We catered for a huge range of experience: from first-timers to South East Squad and everything in between.
Kevin Fielding’s training focused on the key skill of understanding and using attack points. After some exercises it was race time. The mass start relay created enough tension to send a number of runners off in completely the wrong direction but they were soon back on track. The second leg runners had a mini-mass start and (with the benefit of seeing the over-excitement of the first leg runners) were out of the blocks and off in the right direction.
Well done to the weary athletes and thanks to the enthusiastic coaches.
