Organiser’s Comments
In the run up to the event the weather forecast kept improving until it was claiming there would be no rain on Saturday. This wasn’t the case, but thankfully that was too late for the c.25 runners who booked onto the course between Friday evening and the event starting on Saturday morning. In the end we had 106 competitors which seemed a reasonable turnout for a double bank holiday weekend.
Highfield park is hard to make challenging, but at least some nice long legs on light green and short blue created route optimisation challenges, even if at times it felt a bit like a Street-O. Positive noises as people finished suggested they enjoyed it still.
