Organiser’s Comments
Many Thanks to all of you for coming and making our Saturday (plus) event a success. I am told I had
ticked the wrong organiser box for sun and very hot, but nevertheless I don’t think it hurt, everyone
looks to have had enjoyable runs in the lovely woods and to have been able to enjoy the sun
afterwards.
The courses looked great from Alex, quite challenging, even the White which I pretty much walked
round when I was taking the opportunity to have a bit of a walk looks quite hard / fun and very much
in a forest and not park. So, congrats everyone, for doing well and finishing.
As I have mentioned it was great to see lots of folk socialising afterwards, enjoying the café or just
the heath. I had hoped we could run that sort of a Saturday event and was pleased we could.
Granted the weather helped.
Many Thanks to all the HH helpers, who worked hard to run the event, especially Alex (Planner) and
Mike (Controller). Thank you for volunteering and hopefully it was fun too.
Thank you to City of London for letting us hold the event. We recognise that a lot of us running in
the wet months of winter may cause problems with erosion, and the drier (very dry) month of
September is much less risky. Hopefully we can come back in future years for a similar event.
Thank you also to the café for welcoming us. Good food and ice cream make an event much better. As do good loos.
