February Half –Term Junior Training
Where:
Mardley Heath, meeting at the Scout Hut on Canonsfield Road, Woolmer Green, AL6 0QA
When:
10.15 am – 3.00pm Friday 22nd February 2019
What:
We will be using the Scout hut as our base, and will use the woods for our practical exercises. There will be activities for a variety of levels, building up from your current experience. Juniors under 10 must be accompanied by an adult, and the activities will not be suitable for under 8s.
Why:
Helped by qualified coaches, you will develop skills which will give you the confidence to enjoy orienteering events more – and enable you to progress from Saturday events in parks to the more difficult regional events, usually held on Sundays. Club training is the first rung on a ladder of progress which could lead you to regional and even national representation.
What to bring:
Wear clothes & shoes suitable for running in. Bring a change of shoes & socks as it may be wet underfoot, and waterproof & extra warm clothing if it is a cold & wet day.
Bring your own drinks & lunch
You must bring a signed medical/consent form if you have not already done one previously.
Cost:
Members only. Free to HH juniors. If you wish to join HH follow this link: https://www.herts-orienteering.club/membership/
