British Sprint Champion!

Many congratulations to Janet Rosen on becoming W60 British Sprint Champion at Loughborough University on Saturday, in her last year in the class as well. Other top 6 places were achieved by Mick Smith 2nd M70; Kevin Fielding 5th M55; and Helen Marsden and Siân Mitchell, who were joint 6th on W40!

In the British Middle Championships at Chinley Churn on Sunday, our top 6 results were Kevin Harding 3rd M60; Janet 4th W60; Siân 5th W40 and Alison Harding 6th W55.

The statistical oddity of the weekend belongs to Alan Rosen, Ian Byford and Kevin Parkes, who recorded the 3 fastest times in the M60 C final, within 11 seconds of each other but 3½ minutes – that’s over 20% – ahead of the next finisher!
