Ben’s talent is recognised!

Many congratulations to Ben Gostick who has been selected to join the Great Britain Talent Squad.

With the difficulties caused by the pandemic it has been a challenging year for junior development, but Ben has done well in maintaining his fitness and through his cross-country running has been able to emerge from lockdown in good shape.

Over the years, Ben has worked hard in both club and SEJS (South East junior Squad) training and most recently at the special selection races organised at the end of August in the Lake District. He was also invited to attend a Talent camp in Edinburgh in September.

Clearly he has rightly impressed the selectors sufficiently to gain selection to the Talent Squad which is the first step on the British Orienteering Performance Pathway.
