Organiser’s Comments

It was great to be able to offer a new area for orienteering in conjunction with Welwyn Garden City’s 100 (101?) celebrations. The addition of the woodland areas made it more than a parkO; Richard’s courses gave the right level of challenge and made great use of the area. It was nice to hear positive feedback from so many people and I’m pleased you all enjoyed it. The organisation went smoothly despite having to keep social distancing (this was originally expected to be our first event without it). The availability of the the club building for toilets and refreshments was a bonus and I would like to thank Emma from Panshanger FC and her Mum for their help and support. Big thank you also to the HH volunteers without whom the event couldn’t have happened; and finally a thanks to the rain for waiting till everyone had finished.
