Organiser’s Comments

That felt like the first summer O event of the year to me. There were a few times when the sun was beating down when I wondered if it was too warm, and I think some of you may have felt the same. But I have run at Ellenbrook Fields under a couple of inches of water as well, and I know which I prefer!

It was great to see a first time Saturday Series planner in Tim. I’m sure you’ll all join me in thanking him for his great courses. You all seem to have enjoyed them, even those who found the underfoot conditions tough at times.

I was also a first-timer at organising, but doing that job for the first time is made considerably easier by the massed ranks of HH volunteers. We had a great team of willing helpers who all knew what they were doing; all I had to do was ask nicely.

Thanks finally to the 107 of you who came along, did your courses and created a nice atmosphere. If you want to have another crack at the area, remember there is club training at Ellenbrook Fields on Saturday 17th May:
