HH Sprint Championships

Well done to our club sprint champions crowned at LOK’s excellent Ultra Sprint event at Waterlow Park today:
Open – James Errington
Women – Laura Parkes

Although we don’t have sprint trophies for the juniors, congratulations to Niamh Mitchell who was the champion in the Junior Girls category!
In the Junior Boys category, Darrio Tam ran well in the prologues, just missing out on the final but doing enough to be unofficial HH Junior Boys club champion.

The format of the event was unusual: everyone ran three separate ‘prologue’ races between 10:30 and 12:30. The three mens/boys and three womens/girls courses were the same, so we used the total times from these for our club champs results.  Then the top four in each class ran a head-to-head race for the overall win.

As well as Niamh’s win we had second places for Simon Errington, Janet Rosen and Tom Cochrane.

The format was an absolute blast (nice weather always helps) and it was a fun day out. Well done to everyone who ran and to LOK for a great event.
