This event marks the formal opening of the refreshed Permanent Orienteering Course at Stanborough.
This is another chance to try the Maprun Smartphone app, as used at Highfield Park on Christmas Eve. For more information and to download the app see the Maprunners site.
What? | 45 minute Score event – visit as many controls on the Permanent Orienteering Course as you can in 45 minutes. You can walk, run or jog. Bring a pen, a watch and your SI dibber if you have one. |
When? | New Year’s Day at Stanborough. Starts from 1100-1200. |
Who? | Everyone who fancies a run with a difference. You can walk and jog too! Under 16s welcome because the event takes place entirely within the park. |
How much? | £2 per run (£3 for non-members). No charge for using our SI dibber (timing chip) but we will charge £30 if you lose it. |
Watch out | Only cross the A6129 using the marked underpass. And tall people be careful – the headroom at one end of the underpass is quite limited. |
Organised and planned by Helen, Simon and James Errington.
