Junior Training, October half-term

 When  10.15 am – 3.00pm Monday 23rd October 2017
Where:  Haberdashers Boys School, Butterfly Lane, Elstree, Herts, WD6 3AF. Parking will be in the coach park, on Aldenham Road.
What We will be using the sports centre at Haberdashers as our base, and will use the grounds for our practical exercises. We will continue to build on your current level and help your progression to the next level in orienteering, with beginners, advanced and intermediate groups. Juniors under 8 should be accompanied by an adult.
Why: Helped by qualified coaches, you will develop skills which will give you the confidence to enjoy orienteering events more – and enable you to progress from Saturday events in parks to the more difficult regional events, usually held on Sundays.  Club training is the first rung on a ladder of progress which could lead you to regional and even national representation.
What to bring: Wear clothes & shoes suitable for running in. Bring a change of shoes & socks as it may be wet underfoot, and waterproof & extra warm clothing if it is a cold & wet day.

Drinks & lunch

You must bring a signed medical/consent form if you have not already done one previously.

Cost Members only.  Free to HH juniors. If you wish to join HH follow this link  https://www.herts-orienteering.club/membership/

We will be pleased to see new members, even if you have not yet received your membership details. As the orienteering year starts in January, some of last year’s members may need to renew their membership.

Equipment:  All maps & compasses will be provided but if you have your own compass and dibber, please bring them. Activities & games will be suitable for the age & experience of the participants.

Parents are always welcome to attend and help out.
