Club Championships
The annual HH Club Champs were held on 18th December at Wycombe Abbey School, Deangarden & Keep Hill. The turnout of 57 runners in total at the event was very impressive in the conditions. (On a personal note I was sorry to miss the fun after more than a week of Covid for the Cochranes.)
Results are below – well done in particular to all our champions, but also to all who ran and made sure that as well as worthy winners we had real depth to the results. If we can get a similar or even larger turnout to the Compass Sport Cup heat we should do very well…
The handicap scoring is based on how you perform in the Club Champs event relative to your average British Orienteering ranking points. Congratulations to our two winners who both ran their course around 9-10 minutes quicker than their ranking scores might have predicted! Honourable mentions for Tony Grover, James Blake and Emese Svab, who also outperformed their ranking scores by an impressive margin.
