Organiser’s Comments

Since moving over the the western side of the park, the event at Panshanger has taken-on a different quality with some nice fairly-runnable forest and an opportunity for some more-technical legs requiring finer navigation. This year’s event was a perfect example of this, due in no small part to Alex Lines’ well-crafted courses which were evidently well-received, and a nice, clear map from Simon. Yours Truly got ground his course competently after failing in his last two attempts at this venue (mis-punched in 2023 and retired with heat stroke last year!!) .

We were quite lucky with the weather, although the wind did pick up later in the day and the drizzle started to come down as we were clearing up – but at least snorkels were not required!

Thanks to all who helped on the day, including Alex’s dad Rob (from SO territory) – another well-delivered event from a great team. Don’t forget we have the Club Championships at BKO’s Black Park event next Sunday and the customary Trent Park Score on Boxing Day.

I am in receipt of a pair of Oakley sunglasses that were left at assembly…please contact me (stu*AT*stulev.com) if they are yours.
