Welcome to the club sprint championships.

It’s not part of the Street-O series but will use MapRun.  Note starts from 18:45 available.

All welcome. HH club members are eligible for the Open or Women’s Sprint trophy.

Meeting Point
& Parking		 Parking: Wardown Park  LU2 7HL.  The entrance road to the car park is on Old Bedford Road at OS grid TL090227 W3W clues.rider.drives.

Follow the park road down to the car park. Take care on entering for runners on their course.

If the car park is full, use the neighbouring streets or use the car park off New Bedford Road, parks and museums west lodge entrance, w3w ///trap.heads.zones.

Assembly point: this will be next to the car park at the HH banner.  There is a very short taped route to the Start. The Finish is near the assembly point.
Format
Linear course – everyone goes to the same controls in the same order, estimated winning time 15-18 minutes. Unlike Street-O, there will be flags at each control point. You are expected to touch the flag; if MapRun has not triggered we will accept that you have visited the control if your GPS trace passes within 30m.

Bring a smartphone or GPS watch if you have one, and pre-load the MapRun course:

Download in advance; the PIN to unlock it will be provided at start.

If you don’t have MapRun, then it is possible to upload a Strava or GPX route, but please download MapRun if you can.
Courses Open course: 3km, double-sided map. There is a map flip near the assembly point providing spectator opportunity.
Timings Start between 18:45 and 19:20

Please arrive in plenty of time, as the nights are drawing in and sunset is circa 19:30.
Participants Anyone over 14 can take part but only club members can win the trophies.
Registration You are advised to pre-register to ensure a map is available at https://hh.mapreservation.org.uk/
Limited entry on the day, subject to map availability.
Registration closes at midday before the event.
Entry Fees & Payment £3 for British Orienteering members, £5 for non-members.
