Organisers Comments
A big thank you to the numerous HH volunteers who made the organiser’s task very easy today. As usual everyone got on with their jobs and it all seemed to go off very smoothly indeed.
Parking was a bit tight, sharing with numerous riders, horse boxes and stable maids, but with a relatively small turnout, everything just about fitted in the top of the farmyard.
Congratulations to Kevin who ran a very successful trial for delivering live results over Wifi – you just needed to join the hhresults network and there they were, updating every two minutes. It’s a far cry from the days when it was necessary to go through card punches all the afternoon after the event, type up the results, photocopy them and then post them out to those runners who’d asked for them by leaving an addressed envelope with the organiser.
Finally our thanks to the farmer Will Dickinson for allowing us use of the facilities and being a very welcoming host.
Our next Saturday League event is at Haberdashers on July 9th but before that, there’s the Yvette Baker Final at Broxbourne on Sunday July 3rd.
