Based on the incremental relaxation of English lockdown rules, updated guidance from British Orienteering and club approval, we are now ready to move back towards activities closer to our usual Street-O.
We still can’t meet for an event but we can now travel a reasonable distance and therefore many of us can now navigate round the same course but at different times. Therefore we are introducing DIY Street-O:
For up to date guidance please see the (evolving) Wiki page at https://sites.google.com/view/hh-know-how/street-o/diy-street-o
Each Wednesday we will publish a Street-O map and make the same course available via the MapRunF (Android & iPhone) app.
You may run the course at any time, but suggest that where possible you participate before the following Tuesday so that you can share experiences via our usual zoom Social.
This isn’t an event so we’re not going to publish results here – but we strongly recommend recording your track (via your phone & MapRunF, or on a separate GPS-enabled device) and sharing via the MapRun results site. This also isn’t covered by British Orienteering insurance and our previous risk assessment is invalid. Please conduct your own risk assessment while taking note of any specific risks indicated on the map, and run with due consideration for others in the area.
While we believe that undertaking this activity is compliant with current social distancing regulations it is your responsibility to check, especially as guidance can change at short notice.

For watch GPS traces you can upload these after the fact via the MapRun interface at https://www.p.fne.com.au/#/gpsupload
We will produce some more detailed guidance about using MapRunF in due course but in them meantime please see a quick start guide at:

You may also wish to upload/draw your route to the HH RouteGadget site – see the “Route” link.
Finally, please join the club social whether or not you’ve run – 8pm, each Tues [details provided by email – or contact the street-O coordinator].
