Parking & Registration Stanborough Park South Car Park, Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City. Nearest postcode AL6 8XF. OS Grid Ref. TL227110.

Vehicle access is only available travelling South West on Stanborough Road. From Hatfield and A1(M), continue 700m NE on A6129 to the Gosling Sports Centre roundabout and loop back to the car park entrance. Height Restriction 2.1m.

Car park charge £3.50 for 3 hours  (£1.50 all day with a ResidentPass).  The car park now operates with a new automatic number plate recognition system.

Registration is a short walk E across the river from the N end of the car park, past the cafe.

Public Transport Stanborough Park is 1.5 miles from the train station, following Parkway and Stanborough Road.
Courses For the Youth League, boys and girls compete in separate, age-dependent classes:

In addition to the White, Yellow, Orange and Light Green courses above, there will be a Blue course of distance 5.8km and climb 75m. Adults and other runners who are not participating in the Youth League may enter any course.

Regulars can save time by reserving a map/dibber at http://sat.maptypes.org until 18:00 on Friday 3rd.

Fees Non-members: Adults £6, Juniors £3
British Orienteering members: Adults £4, Juniors £2, HH Juniors £FREE.
Adults accompanying juniors are free. Extra maps, if available, £1.
Punching Sportident punching will be used.
Dibber hire £1.00. Charge for lost dibbers £30
Map 1:7,500 pre-marked waterproof maps to ISOM 2000 standard for all courses. Map was completely reviewed by James and Simon Errington in summer 2017.
Facilities Toilets and a cafe are located near Registration.
Dogs Keep on lead and clear up behind you.
Safety Orienteering is an adventure sport. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety.

Only cross Stanborough Road at the underpass marked on the map.  Take care as the path is not very wide and headroom is under 6′ at one end.

Take care near lakes, the water is deep.
